Toner Printer Cartridge

We use new printer toner cartridges by the thousands each and every day for our daily printing and copying needs, but what exactly are they?

If you are using a laser printer of any sort then your machine will have a toner cartridge. Inside it there’s a very fine, black powder and the science bit is to transfer the print job, be it text, photos or other documents to the printed page, which could be black and white or in color.

Most will agree that looking at a cost-per-copy basis this method of printing is far cheaper than using an ink jet based printer. I’ve discovered this to my own cost, that’s why I’ve now switched to a low cost laser printer for all my printing and even small volume copying as my job requires me to make regular photocopies too.

But, a direct result of such a switch is that these consumables will cost you more than what you used to spend on ink cartridges. Luckily for the consumer there are now plenty of makers of compatible products that are cheaper and still produce the same quality as the original ones or OEM printer toner cartridges (original equipment manufacturer).
